Your First Step To Lose Weight Fast

Losing weight and leading a healthier life style are the goal of more and more people in today’s stressed and modern society. No wonder people are seeking the ever elusive miracle weight loss program or pill that will change their lives. If you are one of these people, you need to realize that there is no miracle plan, diet or pill that would help you to lose weight. The first step to weight loss involves the identification of the reasons for you being over weight.

First you should ask yourself why you are overweight. There can be many reasons why you are overweight. Maybe you live an inactive lifestyle, with very little exercise due to your work situation or private life. It is also possible that you’re being overweight or obese is hereditary. Or do you fall in all the three categories? Once you find the cause behind your obesity, your situation becomes easier to deal with it.

For example, if you are overweight because you're leading an inactive lifestyle, it is time to start moving around more in order to increase your daily activity level. If you are accustomed to using the elevator, try climbing the stairs instead. Whenever you want to switch TV channels, don't use the remote; instead, walk up to the TV set and switch channels. Do morning walks on a daily basis. Take a companion along with you whenever you are on a morning walk, this will enable you to walk long distances without getting fatigued. You also need to exercise daily for 20 minutes or half an hour. If you cannot participate in strenuous exercises due to ill health, there are various light workout schedules available today, that takes a persons health condition in consideration. Remember that your goal is not to get stuck with any single form of exercise; your only goal is to keep your body active in order to lose weight.

Are your parents and grandparents overweight? If so, maybe you have a genetic tendency toward obesity. Genetic obesity is hard to cure, but not impossible. You need to research some weight loss exercise programs which are developed for genetic obese persons and just workout a bit harder than others. Remember that a good healthy diet, authorized by a medical doctor and exercise are the only things that would help you shed the extra flab.

If you are eating too much for emotional reasons, it is time to find the reason itself. Do you overindulge simply because you are bored with life? If so, then try to find some interesting activities that will keep your mind engaged. Do you find yourself too much stressed at work? Do you have a deadline to meet and you feel the need to eat in order to ward off the stress? If so, try to take short breaks from work.

As you can see, once you identify the object responsible for your obesity, it helps you to take specific and concrete steps that would enable you lose weight faster.

Do You Believe in Magic Weight Loss Products?

Obesity has become an epidemic. Unhealthy food choices and sedentary lifestyle has turned us into an overweight nation. Thousands of people are now searching for some type of magic pill to help them drop the excess pounds. After all, we are used to taking a pill for everything. Got a pain? Take a pill. Got a cold? Take a pill. Are you having a really bad day? Take a pill. We have become accustomed to having an easy solution to all of our problems. So it is only natural that we want to find a pill that will automatically get rid of that ugly fat. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill or any other weight loss product that will make us skinny. Losing weight requires discipline and hard work. Read on to learn about some of the popular weight loss products on the market and what they claim to do.

Diet patches claim to reduce your appetite by slowly releasing a combination of herbal appetite suppressants throughout your body during the course of the day. Just apply a patch and watch the pounds melt away. Nothing could be further from the truth. A lot of the diet patches contain iodine which can be dangerous to your health if too much is absorbed by your body. The FTC recently shut down several big diet patch sellers because they were spamming customers by selling bogus patches. The hoodia diet patches that have become popular does not contain real hoodia. The reason for this is the hoodia plant is very rare and if you were to buy real honest to goodness hoodia, you could only get a small amount and you would have to pay a huge price for it.

The fat blocker pills have been heavily marketed as a miracle weight loss product. These pills claim to block fat intake and keep it from being absorbed by the body. You have to realize that these pills will cause oily stool and can also cause stool incontinence. You can also lose a lot of vitamin absorption that your body needs. Staying on these pills for an extended period of time is not recommended. Once you stop taking the pills, unless you have changed your eating habits, the weight will return.

There are also some other strange sounding weight loss products on the market. For instance, the appetite suppressing eyeglasses. These are glasses with colored lenses that claim to suppress your urge to eat. The magic weight loss earrings that are custom fitted claim to suppress the appetite by stimulating an acupuncture points. There is no evidence that these weight loss products actually work.

So what it all comes down to is that there is no single weight loss product on the market that will magically make you lose the weight and keep it off. The only magic that will do it is the magic that is within you. Make a firm commitment to following a healthy diet and start an exercise program. Stay focused and dedicated and you will see the pounds start to disappear

How To Lose 10 lbs. Or More Quickly And Safely

As reported in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s recently published "Calories Count - Report of the Working Group on Obesity", people who are overweight is a serious public health problem in the United States. Since the late 1980’s, adult obesity has steadily and substantially increased in the United States. Today, 64 percent of all Americans weigh too much and over 30 percent are obese; in 1988 through 1992, fewer than 56 percent were overweight and fewer than 23 percent of American adults were obese.

The trends for children are even more worrisome. Recent research by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that 15 percent of children and adolescents aged 6 to 19 are overweight – double the rate of two decades ago. As Americans get heavier, their health suffers. Overweight and obesity increase the risk for coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. According to some estimates, at least 400,000 deaths each year may be attributed to obesity.

What people must know is that you can improve your health quickly with just a small amount of weight loss. "We know that physical activity along with reduced calorie consumption can lead to the 5 to 10 percent weight loss necessary to achieve remission of the obesity-associated complications," says William Dietz, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

According to Ken Black, founder of www.weight-loss-discovery.com, "losing one to two pounds a week is safe and recommended by most doctors for most people. This breaks down to 250 to 1,000 calories per day. You can achieve this easily if you follow some or all of the following guidelines" :

1. Use skim milk instead of whole milk or cream in your coffee.
2. Eat low fat yogurt instead of ice cream.
3. Eat more bright colored (green, yellow, orange, red) fruits and vegetables.
4. Eat more lean fish, chicken, or turkey, instead of red meats.
5. Eat whole wheat or multigrain bread, instead of white bread.
6. Use a sugar replacement instead of sugar (avoid Aspartame).
7. Drink water instead of soft drinks.
8. When you eat out, avoid fried foods.
9. Walk or do similar exercises (e.g. Golf, Tennis) at least 20 minutes a day.

If you do even just a couple of these every day for the next month, you’ll feel much better and you will lose weight (10 lbs. or more in 6-8 weeks).

And if you are concerned about getting hungry all the time, or losing your energy, try taking a safe appetite suppressant, like Herbal Phentermine. This supplement is not to be confused with the drug Phentermine, which has side effects like stomach upset, dry mouth and sleeplessness. The herbal variety is a non-prescription medication and has been tested for years to be safe for most people. It contains ingredients like green tea, acetyl L-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, biotin and others, that control your appetite, yet increase your metabolism and energy.

However, do not take any herbal supplement without checking with your Doctor first, if you are on any prescription medications, due to possible interactions between the two, or if you have a special medical condition.

If you follow these simple steps, you will surely reach your weight loss goals and become a much happier, healthier, and oh yes, lighter person.

Most people overlook the area of understanding your own body first before attempting to lose weight.

It is of utmost importance to know your present health condition before deciding what you should do to lose weight. A blood glucose and cholesterol test is necessary to ascertain if you have a medical condition such as diabetes, high cholesterol, heavy metal poisoning or other ailments that may be affected by the intake of certain foods. Secondly it is necessary to determine if there is other pre-existing hormonal disorders such as thyroid malfunction, that may prevent weight loss or that may contribute to a weight problem. The blood test can also provide an evaluation of your body’s metabolism so that you will know what type of food you should take and what food to avoid. In addition, analysis of these results will reveal the body imbalances and the necessary supplementations you need in order to restore your body back into optimum health. As a result, your weight loss expert can come out with a personalized eating plan that is just right for you. The eating plan is necessary to correct your glucose metabolism and balance your hormone levels so that you can lose weight effectively and get healthy at the same time. You will be advised on changes necessary to your lifestyle, dietary restrictions while your likes and dislikes are incorporated into an eating plan to ensure success. Details like the food calories content and timing of certain food intake are all relevant factors to be considered in an effective diet plan. The aim is to achieve an optimum utilization of the food calories for energy burning and not for storage as fats in the body.

For a weight loss program to be effective, it should involve both body and mind to work in synergy and harmony. Thus it takes more than just any simple fad diet to lose weight and let alone maintain it. We should seek to understand and know our body condition first and seek expert consultation for a successful weight loss journey.

8 Proven Weight Loss Tips

There are a lot of “crash” diets out there that promise that you’ll drop a considerable amount of weight in days or a week.

I have tried a few of these, and in my experience the weight always comes back on, just as quickly since the weight loss tips given are not something that will work with your body.

One thing you don’t want to do if you are actually serious about losing weight is to follow these fad diets and their ridiculous weight loss tips.

After their ineffectiveness has been proven time and again, people will start to wise up to that particular diet, and will head off in search of a new craze.

Lets be honest, people are always searching for new weight loss tips because they want to lose pounds and they want immediate results, but this is just wishful thinking.

To lose weight permanently and effectively it will be a rather slow progress, all depending on your metabolic rate and how much you need to lose.

There are however some proven tried and true weight loss tips for aiding in the weight loss process, and I can make you familiar with them.

Weight Loss Tip 1
Don’t skip breakfast. Whatever you do follow this advice, because otherwise you are much more likely in fact prone to binge later in the day.

Weight Loss Tip 2
Don’t eat anything for at least an hour before going to bed.

Weight Loss Tip 3
Don’t snack while watching TV. It’s acceptable to eat a meal while watching television, but never is snacking at this time acceptable.

Weight Loss Tip 4
Substitute fruits like; bananas, watermelon, plums, peaches, and oranges for sugary treats like; cookies and candy.

Weight Loss Tip 5
Substitute honey for sugar, and carob powder for chocolate in all recipes. These taste just as good if not better when used properly.

Weight Loss Tip 6
Eat more vegetables. This can even be enjoyable if you have a good cookbook like Good housekeeping's latest edition.

Weight Loss Tip 7
Avoid unnecessary high calorie foods. Instead of a high calorie salad dressing for instance try cottage cheese or yogurt to improve the salads taste and peel of the pounds.

Weight Loss Tip 8
Exercise at least a half hour each day for five days out of the week. Biking on a stationery bike while reading is a great form of exercise to slim legs.

In conclusion there is nothing stopping you from losing weight except yourself. Get off the "I can't do anything about my weight problem" bandwagon and start dropping pounds today!

Best Diet Pills For Women - What Are The Best Diet Pills For Women That Actually Work?

Assuming you are speaking about the best over the counter diet pills, not prescription diet pills, the best diet pills for women are still those that contain ephedra.

Diet pills that contain ephedra have been around for years. And though the FDA is doing their best to ban ephedra products, they have yet to be able to enforce the ban and keep and effective weight loss product out of the hands of consumers. It is a stimulant that works on the central nervous system and causes you to expend extra calories and raise your resting metabolic rate.

Diet pills with ephedra can increase heart rate and blood pressure. If you have high blood pressure, heart problems or are generally not in good health, then this weight loss product isn't for you. Taken as directed and not abused, this is the most effective weight loss supplement you can purchase to date. Although these are the best diet pills for women, they do have a downside. The downside is that after a period of continuous use, your body will become tolerant, and it will no longer work appropriately. This is why bodybuilders and fitness models stop taking it for several weeks and then resume. This is called cycling. There are some individuals, however, that claim it doesn't work as well going forward as it did that first time.

I have taken diet pills that contain ephedra and lost 60 lbs. I cycled my use by taking the manufacturer's suggested dosage for 3 weeks, then stopped taking them for 2 weeks, then back on for another 3 weeks. I kept repeating the cycle until I reached my goal weight. This type of cycling gave me the quick results I needed to keep my motivation level high. It also gave me time to learn to control my food choices and calorie intake better.

If you're looking for the best diet pills for women, then I highly recommend them. I have never run across another supplement on the market that consistently works as well as diet pills that contain ephedra. Most of them are not what they claim and many of the ingredients currently in use are of little or no use to those that are very serious about losing weight.

Go with diet pills that contain ephedra. They have been used by bodybuilders and fitness models alike for many years with great success. These supplements really are the best diet pills for women!

The Battle To Lose Weight

The battle of weight is a common one. With millions suffering, consumers yearn to find a product that allows them to diet safely without being hungry.

As we drive across town in our cars, our vision is assaulted with a variety of bad food choices. With fast food restaurants at virtually every intersection offering greasy burgers and fries, it’s not difficult to see why the latest statistics from the National Center of Obesity show that over 58 million Americans are now obese. For many of these unhealthy individuals, every day is a constant battle to lose weight.

Some people tend to be more fortunate than others. People with innately high metabolisms are able to munch on chips and candy while others deprive themselves of any indulgences in order to lose weight. They exercise, make healthy food choices, and still have problems trying to lose weight. It can be frustrating, tedious process. For some, it’s a miserable one. To lose weight, they are often hungry, chugging bottles of water in an effort to fill the empty void in their stomachs.

The self berating comes when finally they ask themselves, “Is it really worth all this to lose weight?” Agitated, they pull the car into the nearest McDonalds, order a Big Mac and curse themselves later. When they are later angry with themselves for the bad food choices, they justify it in their own minds by telling themselves that the tuna and crackers they’d packed in a brown bag lunch just weren’t enough. They were still hungry!

For some, the battle to lose weight is a losing one. Willpower tends to bend when our stomachs start growling, and dieters constantly complain about being hungry. With so many products on the market that claim to curb the appetite, many of the products just don’t live up to the claims. Although you may struggle to lose weight, the issue of being constantly hungry often prompts people to binge eat, making both your diet and your self confidence fail miserably.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a product out there that actually followed through on its promise? Wouldn’t it be great to lose weight while feeling great and satisfied? If you are like most people, you’d prefer to lose weight the healthy way. Face it, popping diet pills isn’t the best answer. Many of these pills leave you jittery and feeling just plain bad.

Doctors would agree that the best way to lose weight is the old fashioned way… by cutting calories. This doesn’t mean cutting all carbohydrates out of your diet or eating only low fat snacks. It means lowering your caloric intake.

In 2004, Hoodia Gordonii was discovered. Not a drug, this cactus-like plant was tested for thirty years before finally introduced to the public. It’s not a new discovery however. In fact, Bushmen used this vegetable for centuries to ward off hunger when on long journeys.

What does this mean to you? It means that finally there is an all-natural, totally safe way to get rid of those hunger pains, making it easy to cut calories and lose weight while feeling great.

Why Should You Use Nutritional Supplements In Your Diet?

Nutritional supplements are used to fulfill a deficiency of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in our everyday diet. A few years ago nutritional supplements were not as popular among people as they are today. This is because in years passed there was not much need for anyone to take these supplements. People used to eat pure and healthy food which consisted of a balanced diet including milk, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, fish. Basically back then our diet contained everything that we needed in order for our bodies to function correctly. Today our busy schedules have made our minds so pre-occupied that we don't have enough time to eat enough to fulfill all our body needs. Combined with the fact that the vegetables are extensively farmed and kept on shelves for a long time, this reduces the nutrient intake that we actually eat. This is why we need nutritional supplements to maintain our health.

It is a known fact that nutritional supplements are useful for people belonging to all age groups. Children need adequate amounts of calcium, phosphorus and iron to develop healthy bones and teeth. Similarly, elderly people need all kinds of vitamins and energy vitalizing substances to keep themselves fit. These supplements also help them fight against various diseases, and some are even thought to prevent heart attacks and even cancer. Many nutritional supplements, including folic acid, are recommended to pregnant women to protect the baby from developing any abnormality. Obesity and high cholesterol can also be treated by using nutritional supplements made from natural plant and animal extracts.

Lately there has been much debate as to whether nutritional supplements are really useful or if there's really no point in taking them. It's true that there is no alternative for a proper balanced diet, nothing can take the place of fresh fruits and vegetables. But at the same time taking small amounts of health supplements is not harmful at all, instead it provides protection against many diseases in the long run.

You should never replace your everyday meals with nutritional supplements, although meal replacement powders are available on the market. As with any change in your diet it's important to consult a health specialist before consuming any kind of nutritional supplement. Also don't fall for the many attractive advertisements about some supplement products that claim to do wonders overnight. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is!

Natural food extracts should always be preferred over other man-made supplements. A weight loss supplement made from extracts of green tea is an example. Many other supplements are also made by combining different herbal extracts and a blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and fatty acids. As you must have guessed, these materials are not harmful for the body at all as they all occur naturally.

People who are taking antibiotics are advised to ask their doctor before buying nutritional supplements because they might interfere with the antibiotic course that has to be completed in order to treat an infection. Similarly diabetic patients and those suffering from high blood pressure and high cholesterol are advised not to consume any kind of weight gain or energy boosting supplement before consulting their doctor.

You also need to remember that these nutritional supplements are effective only when right amounts of each one is taken as prescribed by a health specialist. Overdose might prove to be detrimental to your health. Similarly taking less than the correct dosage, or not following the procedure correctly may not prove to be as effective for the body.

Overdose can also cause some side effects like dizziness and nausea. There are no clear signs of vitamin or mineral deficiency in the body, but when you feel that your diet is not composed of all the healthy food that must be consumed everyday, you should immediately ask your doctor's opinion. If taken properly and as part of a healthy balanced diet, nutritional supplements are an excellent way to ensure that your body is being fed with all the necessary nutrients it needs in order to function properly and defend it from various kinds of illnesses.
