Desperate To Lose Weight Quickly? Find Out How

So, you are desperate to lose weight quickly? Do you want to lose weight or lose fat? Sorry to break this to you but you cannot infinitely speed up the rate of fat loss. The body can only break down fat at a certain rate, if you lose weight faster than this rate you will be losing muscle as well as fat - not good! If you want to know how to do things the right way, then read on. Fad diets are a thing of the past, eating tasty healthy meals are the way forward, finally dieting isn't a pain.

Losing weight is all about a lifestyle change, there is simply no other way - please stop searching for the next miracle to lose weight as there isn't one! I know it seems hard now to make that first step but once you get going you will wonder what all the fuss was about and why you didn't stay in shape before. I was the same when I started - really reluctant to go to the gym and always making excuses, I made that first step and yes it was very tough but became easier and easier as I went on. It may seem funny to you but now I am actually addicted to the gym and can't stop ha!

If you start today and are consistent, you can make a dramatic change to your body in one month, one month doesn't sound too bad right? If you aim to lose 3 pounds each week, you will have lost nearly a whole stone by this time next month! Imagine the difference a whole stone will make to how you look and feel!

Another good motivation tool is taking regular photos. Take a photo of yourself at the start of the diet then another a month later, you will ecstatic with your progress. You could even pin each photo to your fridge as a constant reminder!

To keep motivated on the diet I recommend you tell all your friends and family what you are doing. Your friends can offer you support and hopefully won't tempt you with cakes etc! Also - if you tell everyone you might be less likely to quit.

The first thing to do is get your self a good diet (see blog link below) . Once you are on a good diet not only will the fat start dropping off faster than you can imagine - you will feel so much better. The great thing about eating healthy is also the sense of well being you get, there is nothing like feeling great within yourself to help keep motivated.

Losing weight really shouldn't be a last minute thing that is done in a few weeks. The results are not instant, but you can make a dramatic change to your body in a month if you follow a good diet and exercise routine. Just make that first step and you will never look back.

Losing Weight - The Best Time of the Year?Losing Weight - The Best Time of the Year?Losing Weight - The Best Time of the Year?

Losing Weight - The Best Time of the Year?

When is the best time of the year to lose weight? Anytime that you need to is the answer. There is little doubt that starting a weight loss regime in the dark days of winter is not the best time as many of us suffer a low period during this time and we may not be able to cope as well mentally as we would in the brighter days of spring and summer.

Imagine the scene, late December, office parties or out with friends, Christmas holiday and New Year parties. We overindulge and the beginning of January we realise that we really do need to get our bodies back into some shape. Other things take over and before we know it the first signs of spring are in the air. Suddenly that fine figure in the mirror does not really look that good especially when pictured in the summer on the beach. Panic!

Weight loss is a big issue these days and it is not difficult to find books, fitness DVDs and videos, not to mention the deluge of magazine articles that both sexes are bombarded with. How often in early spring do you see plastered across the front of a magazine or taking up several internal pages promises of a quick weight loss fix. Then there are the celebrity following journals that always seem to be documenting the latest and crazy faddy diet being followed by your favourite celeb. Total information overload. It is no wonder most of us become confused and disillusioned when we find we cannot achieve the promised weight loss let alone in the timescale suggested.

Your weight loss program does not have to be rocket science combined with a draconian exercise regime. Eat healthy food in moderate amounts, combine it with gentle exercise and you will feel better mentally and physically. Look for a weight loss program that helps you to control your intake of good food and not some expensive and fancy concoction and definitely does not include some magic pill or potion.

What about shedding those unwanted pounds ready for the beach? Don't set the bar too high this year, accept that there will be the odd bit around the middle that you would prefer not to show but instead make a conscious effort to make a lifestyle change. Then next year you can make a great impression as you stroll onto the beach and still look and feel healthy.

Your First Step To Lose Weight Fast

Losing weight and leading a healthier life style are the goal of more and more people in today’s stressed and modern society. No wonder people are seeking the ever elusive miracle weight loss program or pill that will change their lives. If you are one of these people, you need to realize that there is no miracle plan, diet or pill that would help you to lose weight. The first step to weight loss involves the identification of the reasons for you being over weight.

First you should ask yourself why you are overweight. There can be many reasons why you are overweight. Maybe you live an inactive lifestyle, with very little exercise due to your work situation or private life. It is also possible that you’re being overweight or obese is hereditary. Or do you fall in all the three categories? Once you find the cause behind your obesity, your situation becomes easier to deal with it.

For example, if you are overweight because you're leading an inactive lifestyle, it is time to start moving around more in order to increase your daily activity level. If you are accustomed to using the elevator, try climbing the stairs instead. Whenever you want to switch TV channels, don't use the remote; instead, walk up to the TV set and switch channels. Do morning walks on a daily basis. Take a companion along with you whenever you are on a morning walk, this will enable you to walk long distances without getting fatigued. You also need to exercise daily for 20 minutes or half an hour. If you cannot participate in strenuous exercises due to ill health, there are various light workout schedules available today, that takes a persons health condition in consideration. Remember that your goal is not to get stuck with any single form of exercise; your only goal is to keep your body active in order to lose weight.

Are your parents and grandparents overweight? If so, maybe you have a genetic tendency toward obesity. Genetic obesity is hard to cure, but not impossible. You need to research some weight loss exercise programs which are developed for genetic obese persons and just workout a bit harder than others. Remember that a good healthy diet, authorized by a medical doctor and exercise are the only things that would help you shed the extra flab.

If you are eating too much for emotional reasons, it is time to find the reason itself. Do you overindulge simply because you are bored with life? If so, then try to find some interesting activities that will keep your mind engaged. Do you find yourself too much stressed at work? Do you have a deadline to meet and you feel the need to eat in order to ward off the stress? If so, try to take short breaks from work.

As you can see, once you identify the object responsible for your obesity, it helps you to take specific and concrete steps that would enable you lose weight faster.

How To Lose 10 lbs. Or More Quickly And Safely

As reported in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s recently published "Calories Count - Report of the Working Group on Obesity", people who are overweight is a serious public health problem in the United States. Since the late 1980’s, adult obesity has steadily and substantially increased in the United States. Today, 64 percent of all Americans weigh too much and over 30 percent are obese; in 1988 through 1992, fewer than 56 percent were overweight and fewer than 23 percent of American adults were obese.

The trends for children are even more worrisome. Recent research by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that 15 percent of children and adolescents aged 6 to 19 are overweight – double the rate of two decades ago. As Americans get heavier, their health suffers. Overweight and obesity increase the risk for coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. According to some estimates, at least 400,000 deaths each year may be attributed to obesity.

What people must know is that you can improve your health quickly with just a small amount of weight loss. "We know that physical activity along with reduced calorie consumption can lead to the 5 to 10 percent weight loss necessary to achieve remission of the obesity-associated complications," says William Dietz, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

According to Ken Black, founder of www.weight-loss-discovery.com, "losing one to two pounds a week is safe and recommended by most doctors for most people. This breaks down to 250 to 1,000 calories per day. You can achieve this easily if you follow some or all of the following guidelines" :

1. Use skim milk instead of whole milk or cream in your coffee.
2. Eat low fat yogurt instead of ice cream.
3. Eat more bright colored (green, yellow, orange, red) fruits and vegetables.
4. Eat more lean fish, chicken, or turkey, instead of red meats.
5. Eat whole wheat or multigrain bread, instead of white bread.
6. Use a sugar replacement instead of sugar (avoid Aspartame).
7. Drink water instead of soft drinks.
8. When you eat out, avoid fried foods.
9. Walk or do similar exercises (e.g. Golf, Tennis) at least 20 minutes a day.

If you do even just a couple of these every day for the next month, you’ll feel much better and you will lose weight (10 lbs. or more in 6-8 weeks).

And if you are concerned about getting hungry all the time, or losing your energy, try taking a safe appetite suppressant, like Herbal Phentermine. This supplement is not to be confused with the drug Phentermine, which has side effects like stomach upset, dry mouth and sleeplessness. The herbal variety is a non-prescription medication and has been tested for years to be safe for most people. It contains ingredients like green tea, acetyl L-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, biotin and others, that control your appetite, yet increase your metabolism and energy.

However, do not take any herbal supplement without checking with your Doctor first, if you are on any prescription medications, due to possible interactions between the two, or if you have a special medical condition.

If you follow these simple steps, you will surely reach your weight loss goals and become a much happier, healthier, and oh yes, lighter person.

Lose Weight - First Thing You Should Know and Do

We want to lose weight for many reasons. Be it for better looks or for better health, the reasons behind the intention are always well and good. But do you know that losing weight is more than just heading straight into reducing your food intake and burning off calories in your body. Most people overlook the area of understanding your own body first before attempting to lose weight.

It is of utmost importance to know your present health condition before deciding what you should do to lose weight. A blood glucose and cholesterol test is necessary to ascertain if you have a medical condition such as diabetes, high cholesterol, heavy metal poisoning or other ailments that may be affected by the intake of certain foods. Secondly it is necessary to determine if there is other pre-existing hormonal disorders such as thyroid malfunction, that may prevent weight loss or that may contribute to a weight problem. The blood test can also provide an evaluation of your body’s metabolism so that you will know what type of food you should take and what food to avoid. In addition, analysis of these results will reveal the body imbalances and the necessary supplementations you need in order to restore your body back into optimum health. As a result, your weight loss expert can come out with a personalized eating plan that is just right for you. The eating plan is necessary to correct your glucose metabolism and balance your hormone levels so that you can lose weight effectively and get healthy at the same time. You will be advised on changes necessary to your lifestyle, dietary restrictions while your likes and dislikes are incorporated into an eating plan to ensure success. Details like the food calories content and timing of certain food intake are all relevant factors to be considered in an effective diet plan. The aim is to achieve an optimum utilization of the food calories for energy burning and not for storage as fats in the body.

For a weight loss program to be effective, it should involve both body and mind to work in synergy and harmony. Thus it takes more than just any simple fad diet to lose weight and let alone maintain it. We should seek to understand and know our body condition first and seek expert consultation for a successful weight loss journey.

How To Burn More Calories To Lose Weight?

Everyone knows that we need to burn more calories than we eat to lose weight. But what are calories? Why is it we can lose weight by burning calories? How are calories being burnt?

Calorie is a measurement of heat. It is the amount of energy that is required to raise one milliliter of water by one degree Celsius. Calorie measures the amount of heat or energy that is released when you burn food down.

Calories are burnt through a complicated process that oxidizes food to its basic components. For example, if you burn a sugar, it will turn into carbon dioxide. However in the body, the food burnt is converted to forms of energy.

So therefore when you consume food, the food is broken down and stored as adipose fat or glycogen (which are stored in liver and muscles cells) to be burnt for energy later. Your body prefers to burn glycogen as its first choice of energy rather than body fat when you expand energy such as exercising.

The more muscles you have in your body, the more calories you will burn. The more calories you burnt, the more weight you will lose. This is because muscle cells are metabolically active whereas body fats are not because fat cells do not have much functionality and are mostly inactive.

Different food categories carry different amount of calories. For example, a gram of protein or carbohydrate has about four calories but a gram of fat packs a whopping nine calories. It is thus a no brainer that the more fat you eat the more calories your body will store.

Some people raise their metabolic rate by eating many smaller meals a day instead of three big meals. By eating several 5-6 times a day, your insulin level is also better regulated and less insulin will then be converted to adipose fat.

So how can you burn more calories and further raise your metabolism to naturally burn more calories and body fats? A simple and effective way to burn more calories is to build more muscles as explained above and exercise to expand energy and thus burning more calories in the process.

Burn Body Fat And Lose Weight 24 Hrs A Day – Lose Fat Even When Sleeping

Burn body fat 24 hrs a day is simple. Yes, I said simple but I did not say it is easy. That is because you must have a firm commitment and mental discipline to do it. However, it will get easier and easier when you adapt to your new lifestyle and when your lose fat goal is achieved.

So how do you burn fat 24 hrs a day? Here are some simple steps to lose fat 24 hrs a day.

• Build muscles. Muscles are active cells and they are great calorie burners. The more muscles you pack on, the more body fat you will burn because the calories you have eaten will be burned for energy by your muscles.

• Do your cardio exercises in the morning before breakfast. Make sure that your cardio exercises raise your heart rate sufficiently to burn more fat. The exercises must be intensive and will leave you puffing, panting and sweating. This is to make sure that you will continue to burn calories hours after you stopped your cardio exercises.

Do your cardio exercise 5-6 days a week. On top of that, because your carbohydrate store is low in the morning, your body will burn more body fat to fuel your cardio exercises.

• Eat 5-6 times a day with about 3 hrs intervals. Make the meals small consisting protein and complex carbohydrate. Complex carbs are carbs that are more difficult to digest so that they do not spike insulin quickly to be converted into body fat. So instead of eating white rice, eat brown rice. Instead of having white bread, substitute it with brown bread instead. Have plenty of fresh leafy fibrous vegetables.

The frequency of meals will tell your body that there is plenty of food and so your body need not store body fat for emergencies. On top of that, your digestive system will be constantly working to digest the food and so that means burning of calories.

• Do weight training 3 times a week with rest days in between. Do your weight workout in the evenings so that you will continue to burn fat. Workout with compound exercises such as bench presses, squats, lunges, dead lifts etc to activate more muscle fibers and so that these large muscles will carry on burning calories for many more hours into the night.

• Take slow release protein supplement before bed such as casein protein. This is to feed your body throughout the night and help your muscles to recover from the day’s activities and at the same because casein protein is slow to digest so will not turn to fat easily and thus your body will continue burning calories even when you are asleep.

So with a combination of all these activities, you will be burning body fat almost 24 hrs a day. Simple? Great. Let’s start to lose weight by burning body fat round the clock now.

What To Do When You Just Can't Lose Weight

I know what it's like to be stuck. I lost a little weight and then I stopped. I had about 25-30 lbs. to go and nothing was happening. I was exercising, eating healthy and no more weight loss. Here is how I was able to lose the rest of the weight I wanted to. You can do it too!

1. Rethink your diet.
It is time to stop dieting and cutting calories. Avoid quick fix fad diets. You usually end up gaining more weight when it is over than you weighed when you started. Your goal should be to get healthy. Work towards a lifetime goal of a healthy diet and lifestyle change.

And be careful, some foods, such as soy and skim milk, which are marketed as health and diet foods are unhealthy and/or actually help make you fatter. (For more information see our free ebook at http://enzyme-health.com.)

2. Eat healthy life-giving foods.
Choose healthier organic produce, meats, eggs and milk products. Get plenty of proteins, to help you build muscle and burn fat.

3. Cut out the bad carbs and processed foods.
Avoid the bad carbs-- white sugar and white flour. Stay away from the processed foods as much as possible. It is the bad fats and oils, carbs, preservatives, MSG, and food dyes that keep many people overweight.

4. Try cooking with coconut oil.
Coconut oil is the best oil you can use in your diet. It actually promotes weight loss by burning as fuel for the body instead of storing as fat. It is a harmless saturated fat that has been proven not to cause heart disease, and actually helps fight cardiovascular disease. And you can use it for higher temperature cooking, unlike olive oil.

5. Exercise moderately-- but don't over do it.

People talk a lot about the need to add more exercise, but too much exercise can be almost as bad as too little. Listen to your body. Start slowly and increase your exercising gradually. Vary your exercise routines. Alternate weight training and aerobics exercises on different days.

6. When you still can't lose weight, get some help.

Sometime you just need a little extra help. There are proven herbs and supplements that can that can give you that extra edge you might need to cut your appetite, give your metabolism and energy levels a boost, and help you burn fat and build muscle.

There are also a lot of diet scams out there, so be careful. I did a lot of research, and tried a lot of supplements with empty promises-- but you can learn from me. I found the best fat burning and weight loss supplements, and they are all in one simple patch that you apply daily. I am really excited about this product. It gave me the added push, when I needed it. Maybe it can help you too.

5 Easy Steps To Help You Lose Weight

When loosing weight, most of us don't have the time to
drastically change our lifestyles. We need a practical and
convenient way to integrate effective habits into our daily
lives. The following steps are easy and practical ways to get
you on the track to loosing weight and feeling better.

1. Drink Water! Water doesn't just help quench your thirst. All
metabolic processes within the body utilize H2O and drinking
plenty of it helps your body function optimally. It also helps
you feel your best---many of the common daily headaches and
fatigues we experience can result from a lack of water intake.

2. Eat Breakfast! Many Americans fail to realize the true value
of a morning meal. It not only boosts energy for the long day
ahead, but keeps your metabolism regulated. Skipping a meal can
put the body into "survival mode" which means that it actually
begins storing and saving fat as opposed to burning it.

3. Exercise! There is no easy way around it: successful and
sustained weight loss requires a commitment to physical
activity. The best way to be loyal to physical activity is to
work it into each day. Take a small part of each day to go for
a walk, do aerobics, do yoga, or whatever other type of
activity you enjoy. Mix it up so that you don't get bored with
it. Soon, you will not only get used to it, but you will feel
better too!

4. Choose Variety! Don't let popular dieting trends fool you:
Carbs are good for you too! In fact, carbohydrates are what
your brain run on and are very important for proper body
functions. Following a high-protein diet over a long period of
time can not only cause headaches, but also places considerable
stress on the kidney. The important thing is to eat a variety of
foods. This includes fruits, vegetables and even carbs. Just
remember to be smart about the types of carbs you eat:: whole
wheat instead of white.

5. Eat Slowly! We all get in a hurry from time to time, but it
is important to take the time to listen to our bodies. Eating
quickly doesn't give our bodies time to tell our brains that we
have eaten enough. Consequently, we continue eating and are left
filling stuffed and bloated. Eating more slowly allows us to
recognize when we actually have eaten enough and stop—it also
helps us savour and enjoy the food we do eat.

Essential to loosing weight is giving our bodies what they
need. This means drinking plenty of water, eating timely and
proper meals, staying active, and giving our body the time to
tell us when it is full. Our bodies will reward us for our
attention.
